Fred Hesler, 77, Life Resident of Hillsboro, Dies- HILLSBORO- Fred Hesler, 77, died at his home near Hillsboro at 7 a.m. Thursday. A lifetime resident of Hillsboro, Mr. Hesler had been in ill health for several years. He was born Oct. 24, 1884, south of Hillsboro, the son of George W. and Olive Frazier Hesler. He married Lela Coats in 1905. She died in 1932 and he married Elizabeth Oilar in 1944, who survives. Mr. Helser was a retired farmer, a member of New Liberty Christian Church and the Modern Woodman Lodge. Survivors beside his wife include hree sons, Elmer Hesler of near Veedersburg, Berle Hesler of Frankfort and George Hesler of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Olive Newton of Rose Hill, Va.; two step-children, Clifford Oilar of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Greta Shuler of Lafayette; two brothers, Ralph Hesler and Frazier Hesler, both of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Olcie Colwell of Terre Haute, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Thomas Linton of Lebanon officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.
